When I first saw a write-up about ValleySchwag, I knew I needed (well, wanted) it. I mean, Web 2.0 stuff mailed to me every month for a measly sum! One thing you don’t get here in the middle of military contractor land is much of anything new and groundbreaking.
The schwag arrives wrapped in burlap - but only for this month. The crew claims that cutting and painting the burlap with the ever increasing subscriber base is turning into quite a pain. They’re promising something just as exciting for the future, but how can you beat burlap? I mean - look at it!
Unwrapping the package reveals a bundle of goodies from some companies I’m familiar with and some new faces. To start with, there’s a shirt from Rubyred Labs, the guys who are behind the whole ValleySchwag thing:

Plus a temporary tattoo from Abazab:

And last but not least, some Perplex City cards.
All in all, not bad for $14.95. Not only did I get some cool stuff, but I learned about Abazab, which may just replace Vimeo for sharing movies of the Little Man. Now it looks like I just need to step up my efforts to get a MacBook so I have somewhere to put the stickers!
